Hi, I am so glad to have found this site. My mother, Maria Martina Hartley (nee Marija Martina Fidersek), born 11/11/1931 in Maribor Slovenia, endured WW2 in Maribor, then Austria & Germany Displaced Persons Camps, until coming to Australia in November 1950 on her own.
She came to know Hedi (Hedwig Ellenbogen) & Otto Simon Weissmann at CHATEAU NAPIER in Leura during 1953. They were so kind to her. There is much more to tell. I am visiting my mother in hospital this afternoon and will show her the picture of Hedi & Otto. I have no doubt her eyes will brighten up and she will cry and tell more stories.
